Unashamed

What does it truly mean to live without shame? Not the kind of shame we bring on ourselves through overconfidence or careless words, but the deeper, more paralyzing shame that keeps us from sharing the most powerful message the world has ever known. Romans 1:16 sets the stage for a raw and honest conversation about what holds us back from proclaiming the gospel. The Apostle Paul, a man who never walked alongside Jesus during his earthly ministry, somehow found the courage to take the message he was willing to die for to the most hostile city of his day. What drove him? Purpose, passion, and power. These three characteristics are not reserved for apostles and missionaries. They are available to everyone. We carry within us the same gospel that transformed our own lives, and yet we often let it sit dormant while we cross paths daily with people who desperately need to hear it. This message challenges us to examine whether what we call purpose is really just a wish, whether what we call passion is really just a feeling, and whether we are truly plugged into the source of power that makes the gospel unstoppable. If the message had the power to change us, it has the power to change anyone around us.
